Reporter and anchor Rob Elgas is no longer on staff at WMAQ-TV in Chicago, effective today. Elgas has hosted the 4:30pm newscast since 2012, and additionally served as a reporter for the 10pm broadcast; he had been with the station since 2002. WMAQ is Chicago’s NBC affiliate and airs locally on channel 5. Circle up with the station on Google+ for breaking news from the Windy City.
