Margaret Buchanan, longtime president and publisher of The Cincinnati Enquirer, has announced her retirement. Buchanan was named publisher and president of Enquirer Media in May 2003, the first woman to hold this position. Before that, she worked as a general executive for The Cincinnati Enquirer since 1986. Taking over as president and publisher of the Enquirer is Rick Green. Green had previously served as a reporter and editor for the paper from 1998 to 2004. Most recently he served as president and publisher for the Des Moines (IA) Register.
