Dr. Nancy Snyderman has resigned from her role as chief medical editor at NBC News, a position she has held since 2006. Snyderman has accepted a faculty position at an undisclosed, prominent U.S. medical school. Her decision to leave journalism for academic medicine was motivated in part by controversy surrounding her violation of a self-imposed quarantine after being exposed to the Ebola virus in Liberia last fall.
