Kyle Ryan has departed Entertainment Weekly, where he had been serving as online editor since April 2014. Ryan is headed to Onion Inc. as vice president of development, where he will oversee new projects and ideas for The Onion, Clickhole and The A.V. Club. Ryan is returning to Onion Inc. where he previously served as editor of The A.V. Club since March 2013. He had also served as managing editor, associate editor and city editor for the outlet since joining in 2005. In addition to his new role as VP of development, Ryan will serve as a contributing writer for The A.V. Club when he starts his position in mid-April 2015.
