Terry Collins has joined CNET’s San Francisco staff as a reporter covering social media and some legal issues in Silicon Valley. He was most recently a reporter in the AP’s San Francisco bureau since 2008, following a decade with the Star Tribune in Minneapolis. In CNET’s New York bureau, tech reporter Ben Fox Rubin has shifted his coverage to focus on Amazon and e-commerce. Rubin joined the staff last year from The Wall Street Journal to cover chips companies and electronic component suppliers. Lastly, senior writer Seth Rosenblatt left CNET last month to pursue freelance writing. He first joined CNET in 2006 as an associate editor for Download.com, also holding the titles of senior editor and senior associate editor.
