Andy Lack has been named chairman of NBC News and MSNBC, effective this April. In turn, current chairman Pat Fili-Krushel will move into a new corporate role on NBC Universal CEO Steve Burke’s executive team. Lack was previously CEO of the broadcasting board of governors at Bloomberg. He served as president at NBC News from 1993 until 2001, when he was promoted to president and chief operating officer. He parted ways with the network in 2003.
