The Washington Post will move reporter Mike DeBonis to its Congressional team and has hired Sharif Durhams as a digital editor for nights. DeBonis, who has served as a local politics staff writer for the paper since May 2010 and will move to his new role on Feb. 23, also writes the District of DeBonis blog. He previously was a politics columnist for Washington City Paper and penned the Loose Lips column. Durhams, who will join the Post on March 9, is a social media editor for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Prior to re-joining the Sentinel as a metro reporter in 2008, he served as a state and local government reporter at The Charlotte (NC) Observer. He was originally a higher education reporter for the Sentinel. Stay updated on the Post’s political beat on Twitter.
