Crain’s New York Business recently announced the promotion of managing editor Jeremy Smerd to executive editor. He has worked as managing editor since October 2012, when he was promoted from assistant managing editor after joining the publication as reporter in April 2010. Also at Crain’s, Glenn Coleman has stepped down from his role as editor and will now serve as editor at large for the publication.
