Mark Kemp has been named the editor in chief of SF Weekly. He was previously the editor in chief for Creative Loafing in Charlotte, North Carolina, and served as the arts and entertainment editor at the Charlotte (NC) Observer. He also served as the vice president of music editorial for MTV Networks, and before that role he was the senior music editor for Rolling Stone magazine.
