LA Weekly  announced that Mara Shalhoup will join the newspaper as editor Feb. 16. She currently serves as the editor of Chicago Reader, a position she took over in March 2011. Prior to this, she served as editor for Creative Loafing Atlanta, on staff since September 2000.
