Dan Abrams has stepped down from his role as anchor of Nightline, a position he has held since June 2013. He will remain with ABC News as chief legal analyst, in addition to overseeing the online properties of Abrams Media. In turn, Byron Pitts has been named anchor of the late night news program. Pitts will continue as a national correspondent at ABC News, a position he has held since April 2013. Follow Nightline on Twitter for updates from the show throughout the daytime hours.
