The New York Times has announced several staff updates affecting print, digital and international content. Dean Chang, most recently city editor, is now print editor for the metro section, a new role designed to free up other editors to work on the paper’s Web and mobile operations. Additionally, Michael Slackman has been promoted to international managing editor, another newly created position, up from deputy international editor. Lastly, Charles Homans will join The New York Times Magazine as a digital deputy on Nov. 24. He currently serves as executive editor for The Atavist.
Honored and excited to be @NYTMetro's 1st print editor, dedicated to keeping our ink-stained pages as vibrant and essential as ever.
