KUSA-TV, NBC’s Denver affiliate, has named Christy Moreno news director for its 9News programming. She was most recently the news director for WBIR-TV, the NBC affiliate for Knoxville, Tennessee. Moreno previously worked for KSENS-TV in San Antonio, Texas and KRIV-TV in Houston. She replaces Patti Dennis, who has overseen KUSA-TV’s newsroom for the past 18 years. Dennis has been promoted to vice president of news and talent development for Gannett Broadcasting.
