Katrice Hardy has been named the managing editor for The Virginian-Pilot. Nearly a two-decade veteran of the Pilot, Hardy first interned for the paper in the mid-1990s and was quickly hired as a general assignment reporter. She went on to serve as weekend editor, city editor, tablet enterprise editor and most recently, as digital senior editor. Hardy replaces Maria Carillo, who recently moved to the Houston Chronicle.
