The Center for Investigative Reporting has appointed Fernando Diaz senior editor and Nathan Halverson as an investigative news reporter. Diaz is the managing editor for Hoy and serves as the website content editor for Vivelohoy.com. He previously was the community manager for ChicagoNow. Prior to that, he worked for the now-defunct Chi-Town Daily News in Chicago, the Chicago Reporter, the Daily Herald in suburban Chicago and Democrat & Chronicle in Rochester, New York. Halverson was previously a business reporter covering viticulture, telecommunications and technology for the Press Democrat.
