Cision Blog regrets to inform its readers that KFMB-TV veteran feature reporter Larry Himmel has succumbed to a years-long battle with cancer. Himmel was first hired by the station in 1979, and during his tenure he hosted a weeknight show called San Diego at Large in addition to his live reporting, which earned him an Emmy Award in 2008.
