TIME has announced several promotions within its editorial staff. Sam Jacobs has been promoted to assistant managing editor, most recently a senior editor since June 2013 following stints with Reuters, Newsweek and The Daily Beast. Kelly Conniff, TIME’s social media editor since September 2012, has been promoted to senior editor overseeing special projects. Conniff previously worked for National Geographic. Mia Tramz, most recently an associate photo editor since April 2013, has been named multimedia editor. Additionally, Matt Vella was also promoted to assistant managing editor, previously covered by Cision Blog.
