Kate de Pury has been named news director for Russia and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) for the Associated Press based in Moscow. She was previously with the AP from 2002 to 2005 as content manager for AP Direct. Most recently, she served as the LIVE news editor for Reuters TV since June 2012. de Pury replaces Caro Kriel who is now Europe news director in London.
