The forthcoming Westwood One News network has hired four staff for regional positions. Steve Kastenbaum was named the New York bureau chief and a senior correspondent. He was previously a correspondent at CNN Radio and his extensive broadcast career includes on-air and production roles in New York.
Bob Constantini has been named a Washington correspondent for the network, after working at NBC News Radio and CNN Radio. He also worked as a freelancer and reported for FOX News Channel and Tribune Television.
Jim Roope has been hired as a West Coast correspondent based in Los Angeles. He was previously a sports reporter for KFWB-AM and has worked at numerous radio stations in the city since the ’80s. He also helped launch the Cable Radio Network.
Alan Scaia is a new Midwest reporter for the network based in Dallas. He was most recently news director of WBAP-AM and KLIF-AM in Dallas. He also worked at WIBC-FM in Indianapolis and KEX-AM in Portland, Oregon.
