Rob Gifford and Dave Weigel are joining the forthcoming Bloomberg Politics outlet as a senior broadcast producer and staff writer, respectively. Gifford was previously senior producer of NOW with Alex Wagner on MSNBC since January 2012. Weigel had served as a political reporter for Slate and a contributor at MSNBC since 2010. Prior to that, he was a conservative politics staff writer and blogger for The Washington Post.
