The Washington Post has announced several changes to its staff. Carol Morello has been named diplomatic correspondent, replacing Anne Gearan who is moving to the politics team. Morello most recently served as a staff writer covering demographics. She has also served as a metro reporter and assistant city editor since joining the paper in 2000. Gearan has served as a diplomatic correspondent since joining the paper in June 2012. Both Morello and Gearan are expected to start in their new roles on Sept. 22.
The paper has also announced that political reporter Nia-Malika Henderson has moved over to WaPo’s The Fix, where she will blog about politics, culture and demography.
