Peter Canellos is stepping down from his role as editorial page editor at The Boston Globe. He first joined The Globe in 1988 and has held numerous roles, including Washington bureau chief, political columnist, deputy managing editor and metro editor. He also oversaw coverage of the 2004 and 2008 presidential elections. Stepping in for Canellos in the interim is executive director of communication Ellen Clegg, also a Globe veteran.
