Missy Ryan, a national security and Middle East correspondent for Reuters, will be joining The Washington Post as a Pentagon correspondent. Roberts has covered the military and U.S. foreign politics for the news service since joining in 2008, and has served in a variety of positions from Pentagon correspondent covering Afghanistan and Pakistan, to deputy bureau chief in Iraq. She has also covered Mexico and Central America. Roberts is expected to start her position with The Washington Post on October 13.
