More promotions have been announced at The New York Times under executive editor Dean Baquet. Baquet has moved to forgo some longtime and traditional titles at the newspaper in order to create a more responsive newsroom. Tom Bodkin has been named creative director, a role equal to the four deputy executive editors that were named last week. Bodkin was previously the chief creative officer. Additionally, Joe Kahn, who was most recently the foreign editor, now holds the title of assistant editor, international news. Clifford J. Levy was promoted to associate editor from his previous role as the lead of the NYT Now mobile app. Finally, Steve Duenes has been named assistant editor.
