Every fall season a handful of new shows premiere, each fighting to be the top newcomer and thus guarantee a second season and ultimately a long, successful run.  There are times, however, when great shows get canceled before their time (Freaks and Geeks, anyone?) or mediocre shows return season after season.  There’s one thing that’s for certain – people talk about TV shows, the good and the bad. It’s evident in the number of social posts you see on your feeds during and after a show airs.  It’s also evident in the fact that people even block social media for a day just to avoid seeing premature spoilers. If social media could predict a show’s future (based on volume of chatter, positive and negative sentiment, following, etc.), then based on our data, we have an idea of which shows this fall will get the axe and which will receive that coveted second season order.  After taking a look at the most anticipated new shows  through social media’s eyes, these are our predictions for this season’s must watch shows.
