Jeanne Cummings has been named deputy managing editor for Bloomberg News and the forthcoming vertical, Bloomberg Politics. She will serve as the point of contact between Bloomberg News’ Washington bureau and the New York-based Bloomberg Politics, overseeing coverage of Washington news. Cummings most recently served as deputy government editor and political reporter for the news service’s Washington bureau since May 2011 following a four-year stint with POLITICO. Prior to this, she covered politics for The Wall Street Journal and Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
