Jennifer Lyons, former assistant news director at WGN-TV, has been promoted to news director. She replaces Greg Caputo who left the station at the end of June. Lyons had been the assistant news director since 2008.

In addition, Courtney Gousman joins the station as a general assignment reporter. She comes from WBBM-TV where she had served as a reporter since 2012.
