Ernesto Londono is joining The New York Times as an editorial writer, effective in August. He will also join the paper’s editorial board, focusing on foreign affairs. Londono was previously a Pentagon correspondent for The Washington Post, where he also served as a Middle East correspondent. Prior to that role, he covered criminal justice in Montgomery County for the paper. He worked as a reporter for The Dallas Morning News and its Spanish-language daily, Al Dia.
