Alexis Madrigal has been promoted to deputy editor for The Atlantic‘s website. He joined the publication in 2010 as a senior editor covering technology. Prior to that, Madrigal served as a staff writer for Wired.com, contributing to the site’s science blog from September 2007 to June 2010. In addition, Kathy Gilsinan will join The Atlantic as an associate editor in late July. Gilsinan previous was an associate editor for World Politics Review since January 2013.
