Sarah Douglas has been named editor in chief for ARTNews. She most recently spent three years as culture editor for the New York Observer and founded its new art site, GalleristNY.com. Prior to the Observer, Douglas wrote for various art publications, including Art + Auction, Modern Painters, ARTINFO.com and Flash Art. Outgoing ARTNews EIC Robin Cembalest, with ARTNews since 1998, will remain on in a consulting role. A website and print redesign will be Douglas’ first projects at the publication. Founded in 1902, ARTNews is a resource for news about the art world, including exhibition reviews, profiles of artists and collectors. Follow their updates on Facebook.
