Rachel Van Dongen has been promoted to deputy managing editor of POLITICO. She joined the publication as Congress editor and deputy politics editor in January 2012. Prior to her time there, Van Dongen served as the national political editor for The Washington Post. She also was the editor for WhoRunsGov.com since joining the paper in 2008.
