Clive Thompson has been named a technology columnist for Smithsonian. He was previously a contributing writer for Fast Company. He was also a Knight science-journalism fellow at MIT and served as a contributor to Details. Thompson is author of the book, “Smarter Than You Think: How Technology is Changing Our Minds for the Better.” He also contributes to The New York Times Magazine and writes a column for Wired.
