Rick Holzman has been named executive vice president and general manager for Animal Planet. He most recently served as the executive vice president of programming and scheduling for both Animal Planet and Science Channel. Holzman joined the network in 2007 following four years as vice president of programming and scheduling for Discovery Channel, helping to launch the popular shows Deadliest Catch and Dirty Jobs. Holzman’s previous work includes time at USA Networks, MTV and VH1. Check out Animal Planet on YouTube for clips of popular shows.
