William Dermody has left USA Today after 15 years and will join the American Beverage Association as its vice president of policy. He most recently served as the deputy managing editor for world news. Dermody’s career in journalism has spanned three decades, joining USA Today as a deputy night news editor in October 1999, promoted to assignment editor for general news in 2005, and to deputy managing editor in 2009. Prior to this, Dermody worked for the Associated Press as a national editor and reporter from 1992 to 1994. Check out USA Today’s YouTube page for national news features and interviews.
