The Body has named longtime advocate and journalist Julie Davids as managing editor. Davids had been the director of national advocacy and mobilization for the AIDS Foundations of Chicago since 2011 and director of HIV Prevention Justice Alliance since 2009. She has also worked as founding executive director of the Community HIV/AIDS Mobilization Project, as well as a founding member of the HealthGlobal Access Project and external advisor for the National Institute of Allegry and Infectious Diseases, and the National Institiutes of Health and Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. She has authored and edited for websites and blogs associated with HIV/AIDS advocacy, as well as various reports and analyses for policy organizations.
