National Journal has announced several new hires in the newsroom, via a memo from editor in chief Tim Grieve. Along with a 50 percent increase in readership, Grieve announced new reporters and correspondents: Emily Schultheis, who joins from POLITICO; Alexia Campbell, previously an intern for The Washington Post’s investigative team; Rachel Roubein, previously a reporter for Carroll County Times; and Nora Caplan-Bricker, who joined the publication in May. Other new additions are Alex Laughlin, working with the Journal’s social media and Web producer Zach Cohen, working with the Hotline blog.
