The New York Times has decided to end its breaking news blog, The Lede, as part of an on-going shift away from traditional blogging formats. The Lede’s content will be absorbed into other areas of the website, and editor Robert Mackey is now writing for the paper’s World section. Readers can expect the Times’ blogging fold to shrink by almost half in future months.
