CBC Radio One’s World at Six anchor Alison Smith has announced that she will retire from the program at the end of June 2014. Martina Fitzgerald will take over her responsibilities as host at this time. This news follows shortly after Linden MacIntyre announced that he would be retiring from hosting duties at CBC Television Network’s Fifth Estate at the end of the summer. Mark Kelley, Gillian Findlay, and Bob McKeown are slated to replace MacIntyre. Keep up with breaking news out of Canada by following CBC on Twitter.
