National Journal’s The Hotline has named Scott Bland as editor in chief. Bland formerly served as a senior editor since January 2013. Prior to that, he was editor, House Race Hotline at the National Journal from January 2012 – December 2012. He joined National Journal as a research assistant in September 2010. Bland replaces Steve Shepard who stepped down in February to join POLITICO’s Campaign Pro.
