Executive chairman George Bodenheimer has left his position at ESPN.  He served as executive chairman of the network since January 2012. Before that, he was co-chair of Disney Media Networks since April 2004 and president of ESPN since November of 1998. Prior to becoming president, he was responsible for affiliate sales, advertising sales, marketing and research for all of ESPN’s domestic networks. Since serving as president, he created ESPN Original Entertainment, initiated the development of the ESPN Deportes and acquired the businesses and assets for B.A.S.S., which led to the creation of ESPN Outdoors.
