Suki Dardarian has been named the senior managing editor and vice president of the Star Tribune. She will be joining the publication on April 21. She is currently the director of audience development and innovation for the Seattle Times, where she had also served as the managing editor for curation and digital, news coverage and enterprise. She also served as the deputy managing editor from 2005 to 2007, and as the assistant managing editor from 2000 to 2005. She will be taking over the senior managing editor role that was left vacant when Rene Sanchez was promoted to editor and president for the Star Tribune in October 2013.
