Earlier this month, The Guardian released a secret court order from the NSA, ordering Verizon to turn over millions of Americans’ phone records, as well as unveiling a bigger surveillance project to tap into Internet, email and cellphone records of all Americans. Soon after, Edward Snowden, a security contractor for the NSA based in Hawaii, admitted he had leaked the information to The Guardian.
