Bias in the media is often a point of contention. Many journalistic organizations and its reporters do their best to be as objective as possible by covering all the bases and making sure both sides of the story are represented. But with networks like MSNBC and Fox, which unabashedly report news with political leanings, it’s hard for readers and viewers to discern what’s being reported subjectively and what is fair.
Regardless of either practice, audiences will always decry the media for being biased even when that is perhaps not the intention. Such may be the case with a particularly gruesome story in Philadelphia dealing with abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell, who is on trial for the murder of seven infants and one woman. Although it has made some headlines, there are those who believe it hasn’t been covered enough by the media, blaming liberal support of abortion rights as the culprit.
