Q: Do you use Twitter, Facebook or any other social media?

“In terms of my job as just the producer looking to gather news, when a story is breaking I would go on Facebook and Twitter to see what people are saying, to see if there’s new developments that we haven’t heard about in the newsroom. I would go on there to potentially try to find people to interview, and try to reach out to them and contact them directly, to see if we could do a phone interview, or go and interview them wherever they are. It is an integral part of how we cover news now.”
