Robert Pardo is the executive producer of the sports department for the Telemundo Network, which produces the sports program “Titulares Telemundo,” or “Telemundo First News.”
Press releases should be tailored to an Hispanic audience. He prefers sports stories with a focus on Mexican soccer or boxing. Stories that lead to coverage of major professional sports in the U.S., including football, baseball and basketball, are also accepted. The primary focus, however, is on stories relevant to the Hispanic community. Pitches may be sent via e-mail with a minimum lead time of 7 to 10 days. Include the basic pitch in the body of the e-mail; additional information may be sent as an attachment.
“Titulares Telemundo” airs Saturdays at 11 p.m. EDT, and Sundays at 12:30 and 11 p.m. EDT on Telemundo, a 24-hour Spanish-language network.
