Jayson Jorgensen serves as the sports director at KRVN, which targets farmers and ranchers 25 to 55. He also produces “Midday with J.J.,” a local news and features program. “I just voice-track from 10 to 2, so we really don’t have guests on,” Jorgensen notes.

Press releases may focus on local sports news. “The ones we use the most are from universities like Nebraska, Kansas State and UNK (University of Nebraska at Kearney), and then stuff we get from the local high schools,” Jorgensen says.
