Sarah Rothenfluch focuses on issues of importance to the Pacific Northwest, particularly Oregon and southwestern Washington. “We cover issues that are either locally based, or we take national or international issues and make them relevant to a local audience,” she says.
Press releases may cover the arts, business, politics or education. Releases must explain why people in the Pacific Northwest should care about the topic. “We do some authors, though we have to make sure they have some relevance or importance to a conversation that happens here,” Rothenfluch says.
