Martini-Gonzales prefers press releases that are quick and to the point. “A long, drawn-out press release is generally overlooked,” she says. Also, releases should include contact information for a local resident or expert who is able to enhance the story. “Not just a spokesperson for a company, but real people that are affected by whatever the story is,” she says.
