Debbie Cafazzo writes general-interest features. She says her specialty is children’s interest and family interest stories, but she also writes home and garden features “and whatever else needs doing.” Cafazzo asks that PR people avoid sending her stories “that don’t have anything to do with something in our circulation area, in other words, all the product press releases. We don’t generally do anything with those.” Send all materials via e-mail. Cafazzo does NOT want follow-up calls. “If I got your e-mail, I’ll call you,” she says.
